The August/September issue of Imaging & Machine Vision Europe is out now

Covering the emerging tech and trends from the world of vision, Imaging & Machine Vision Europe’s August/September magazine puts its focus on the manufacturing sector, mixing industry insight with expert opinion.

Well, the summer may almost be over, but the heat is rising on the Imaging & Machine Vision Europe production line. Packed, labeled, scanned and on its way out of the factory gates, the latest magazine issue looks at how machine vision and AI are utilised in the automotive and aerospace production sectors, highlighting the challenges and opportunities with a few big-name examples.

VISION 2024 in sight

With VISION 2024 just around the corner (8-10 October), we couldn’t stop ourselves from taking a sneak peek at this year’s runners and riders. Our VISION preview outlines what we’re predicting will become some of the hottest topics at the show, such as AI; hyperspectral imaging and 3D vision, and outlines some of the must-see events and must-hear talks from the (half-) week, including news on EMVA’s show-starting ‘International VISION Night’ event, the evening before.

Industry voices

Talking about the hottest machine vision topics, expert opinion is provided by Nick Barnett from Pro-Lite on hyperspectral imaging, Beatrice Danese from Opto Engineering on multi-view 360-degree lenses and Patrick Gailer of Phil-Vision – the latest ‘Visionary’ integrator recognised by Imaging & Machine Vision Europe – tells us about his approach to machine vision integration.

Elsewhere, we lay out the latest cameras; sensors and software for 3D vision and there’s a detailed look at short-wave infrared (SWIR) technology, and how it helps machine vision to see the invisible. All this, plus your usual round-up of news.
