Solomon expects the collaboration to allow its 3D machine vision, robotics control and augmented intelligence systems to become faster and more advanced on the Isaac platform.

Providers of advanced vision systems including 3D bin-picking, vision-guided robots, AI-based defect inspection and augmented intelligence, which blends artificial intelligence with augmented reality, Solomon’s embedded rapid AI model training allows users to customise models quickly.

Integration with NIVIDIA’s Isaac

By integrating with NVIDIA’s Isaac platform and the Isaac Manipulator’s accelerated libraries, which “deliver faster path planning and execution - reducing path singularity occurrences by 50% compared to conventional algorithms,” suggests Solomon, the vision intelligence expert combines the platform with its own AccuPick system for advanced image recognition, allowing smaller robot cells without compromising cycle time and helping to increase bin-picking efficiencies in factories and order picking in logistics centres.

“We are thrilled to integrate the NVIDIA Isaac platform into our products,” said Johnny Chen, CEO of Solomon. “NVIDIA’s advanced AI and robotics tools will enhance our product capabilities, helping drive greater innovation in industrial automation.”

Further collaboration with Isaac in the future

“Isaac leverages generative AI to create a powerful foundational model for more intelligent robotic systems, and by continuing to integrate with multiple NVIDIA Isaac technologies,” suggest Solomon, they will “continue to deliver innovative products and applications,” the goal being to bring smarter automation to manufacturing, retail, logistics and other sectors.

“The era of AI robotics has arrived,” said Deepu Talla, VP of robotics and edge computing at NVIDIA. “To meet this demand, NVIDIA is building a full-stack, accelerated robotics platform to enable ecosystem leaders such as Solomon to advance deployment of autonomous machines across the world’s largest industries.”
