Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) celebrates its 25th birthday on 3 February 2014. Founded in 1989 in Alzenau, a small city close to Frankfurt in Germany, under the origional name Manfred Sticksel CCD-Kameratechnik, the company started as an importer and distributor of digital cameras for industrial image processing.
AVT later became a camera manufacturer for machine vision applications and now has R&D, production and sales sites in Germany, North America and Asia. It offers one of the widest product portfolios in the market, ranging from conventional industrial to advanced infrared vision cameras.
