Andor Technology, a leader in scientific imaging and spectroscopy solutions, has recorded a 25.5 per cent increase in European sales to £12.3m over the financial year ended on 30 September 2008.
There was sustained growth in the primary markets of Germany and France, and exceptional growth across Europe for the Microscopy systems division. The company recorded a 46 per cent growth in Scandinavia, and continued to develop opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe, with a milestone first sale in Croatia.
A focus on customer requirements and product quality has been the critical success factor in an increasingly demanding market, and Europe now represents 50 per cent of the company's revenue.
Commenting on the results, Andor's chief executive Conor Walsh said: 'These achievements are team efforts and we have some of the best people in the industry. Our increased market share in Europe, combined with a record order book, gives us great confidence for the future.'
