Smart Vision Lights has appointed Andy Reed as business development and lighting safety director. He brings 20 years of vision and automation sales experience to SVL.
In his new role, Reed will work on photobiological safety for LED illuminators with a large focus to grow the awareness and understanding of the new IEC62471 safety standard requirements already established in Europe and expanding worldwide.
Smart Vision Lights has partnered with Intertek as part of its satellite laboratory programme. The company’s new in-house, on-sight laboratory has been certified by Intertek as a fully functional testing facility for LED safety compliances for existing and forthcoming global standards. In compliance with IEC62471, Smart Vision Lights has tested all of its products for photobiological safety of lamps and lamp systems.
