Edmund Optics (EO), a manufacturer and provider of precision optical components, has invested in a 10,000 square foot distribution and customer support centre for the European market.
The company has served the European market from its UK and Germany offices for 11 and 10 years respectively. The aim of both offices was to provide direct service and free technical support to the European market to ensure that customers could get faster delivery and pay in their own currency. Today, this unwavering commitment to customer service is still evident.
John Cleather, managing director of EO's UK office, commented: 'We get products to our customers across Europe the next day, we respond to requests for quotations the same day, we answer customer phone calls immediately without the use of an automated telephone system and we speak to customers in their own language. We offer a personal service and for me the challenge is being prepared to provide this level of service.'
