Jan-Erik Schmitt, formerly Vision Components' sales director, has been appointed vice president of sales. He is now responsible for all of the company's sales activities, including strategic targets in Germany and abroad, coordinating and expanding the international sales network and key account management. The enterprise, which was founded in 1996 and has since grown into an internationally leading provider of intelligent image processing solutions, has also increased its sales staff as of April 1. The company's founder and CEO Michael Engel will remain responsible for technical development.
