Power Technology has acquired the German diode pumped solid state (DPSS) laser manufacturer Klastech.
Power Technology will retain the Klastech organisation and will be working over the next several months to integrate the additional products and employees into its business. Production and sales of the Klastech laser line will continue to be based in the German firm’s headquarters in Dortmund.
‘The addition of Klastech allows Power Technology to provide advanced, cutting edge, laser solutions to our customers,’ said Walter Burgess. He is vice president and owner of Power Technology, which is based in Little Rock, Arkansas .
Power Technology makes laser diode products for analytical, biomedical, industrial, semiconductor inspection, defence and security, and machine vision applications.
