Multipix Imaging has entered into an agreement with Panasonic Electric Works Europe AG to distribute its machine vision software. Panasonic Electric Works is a provider of high-quality electronic and electromechanical components and automation solutions for industrial applications.
Julie Busby, technical director at Multipix Imaging, said: 'We are very excited to offer this powerful application software, which is able to offer solutions to a wide range of machine vision tasks. As it requires little or no programming skills it is opening up the world of powerful automated inspection to a wider audience.'
Multipix will specialise in the Panasonic machine vision software, Vision P400, the latest version of which is about to be released. An optimum inspection routine can be configured quickly and intuitively with the software. Helpful graphics assist in defining settings, and several parameters are optimised automatically. The programs created in this way are based on advanced image processing libraries. This latest version of Vision P400 supports GigE Vision interface.
Christophe Medernach, European business development manager for machine vision, Panasonic Electric Works, stated: 'We are thrilled to start this collaboration as we can now respond more effectively to a broad range of customer's demands thanks to the expertise and the local presence of our new partner [Multipix Imaging]. The benefits of this collaboration combine in a complementary manner, the individual skills and local experience with the aim of achieving a common global goal: to deliver outstanding solutions and perfect support in the long-term.'
