MVTec Software, Munich, Germany, has held its inaugural training session for companies belonging to the MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program, a programme cultivating close relationships with a large number of suppliers of image acquisition devices.
Representatives of numerous camera manufacturers, including Baumer, JAI, Leutron, Mikrotron, and SVS-Vistek, attended the event, which took place in Munich on 26 June 2008. Topics discussed included the specific training for the image acquisition interfaces to Halcon and ActivVisionTools with the focus on the new Halcon GigE Vision interface.
The MVTec Image Acquisition Partner Program includes 25 well-known manufacturers of cameras and frame grabbers. The primary goal of this programme is the close collaboration in developing and maintaining the image acquisition interfaces, as well as in potential support cases. This cooperation helps to provide the customer with the best possible interfacing between software and hardware.
