Prime Vision, a provider of mail and parcel automation solutions, has supplied its range of Parcel Vision integrated solutions for Sandd's sorting centre in Apeldoon, Netherlands.
Sandd offer a mail delivery service to all addresses in the Netherlands and the 10,000m2 sorting centre includes the latest sorter technology and camera-based reading systems.
Prime Vision's project manager, Rob Pieterse, commented: 'Our solution comprises several modules including Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and video coding that together aid the routing of mail items on the automatic sorter. The OCR automatically reads either the unique Sandd route code or the address and postcode.'
