Specialised Imaging Ltd will open a North American partner company – Specialised Imaging, Inc – in April 2010. After 5 years of representation in North America by IMC/Photo-Sonics (Burbank, CA), which successfully brought the product line to the forefront of the ultra high speed imaging industry in the US and Canada, the new office will expand and develop support for the SI product line from a dedicated sales and service facility in California.
Commenting on the strategic move, Wai Chan, managing director, Specialised Imaging Ltd, said: 'The US is the single largest market for our products in the world and our North American customer base has been growing strongly over recent years.' Beyond looking to better serve customers with direct local support, the new US office will be able to offer system integration and development for all SI's products including ultra high speed framing cameras, high speed video systems, X-ray imaging systems, lighting systems, specialty optics, and triggering systems.
