Specim has appointed Dr Georg Meissner as the company's managing director, effective 1 January 2014. He will join Specim to lead it into the next phase of its growth plan and the development of a range of hyperspectral instrumentation and imagining solutions.
Prior to this role, Meissner has worked at Nokia in various product and programme management roles.
Risto Kalske, chairman of Specim board of directors, said: ‘Georg Meissner brings a wealth of experience from his earlier roles of launching new, high technology products with precision according to roadmaps.’
Meissner commented: ‘I am excited to be working with the team and playing my part in taking the business to the next stage of its development. I'm looking forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead, and making Specim an even better and larger company.'
