Stemmer Imaging has expanded its UK sales operation with the appointment of Chris Pitt as new business development manager for the UK and Ireland, and Oliver Richford as internal sales co-ordinator.
Stemmer Imaging’s UK sales and marketing director, Mark Williamson, said: 'Although the UK is officially in recession and there is a slow down in new orders, sales at Stemmer Imaging UK are holding up well and in fact we have seen an increase in business of 10 per cent over the last financial year. Investing now will not only help us to maintain and grow our market share in these difficult economic times, but will also leave us perfectly positioned to grow further when the economy begins to recover.'
Chris Pitt is no stranger to the Stemmer Imaging set-up, having worked at Firstsight Vision before a 5-year spell at Cognex. He has extensive experience in the field of imaging, including thermal imaging, having also worked for T-cubed, Datacell, Active Imaging, Optimas UK and DVT.
