Multipix Imaging has added Toshiba Teli's 3-layer CMOS colour camera to is portfolio of products. The camera is aimed at microscopy and imaging application that require highest colour performance. This CMOS technology of 1440 x 1060 pixels is stacked on three layers to produce a special single chip, 3-colour CMOS sensor. This means an RGB colour output with no loss of spatial resolution, and it features a 1394b interface for ease of installation and use. At full resolution this progressive scan, remote head camera runs at 6.5fps or configured to run in different formats such as 700 x 525 at 20fps, making it perfect for microscopy type applications.
