Matrox Imaging today announced that developers of high-resolution 3D surface inspection solutions based on Chromasens’ 3DPIXA stereo line scan camera, Corona II illuminator and CS-3D software can source all additional system components from Matrox Imaging.
The Matrox Radient eV-CL Camera Link® frame grabber and Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) vision software are the perfect match to capture image data from the Chromasens camera. The raw data is then passed on to the CS-3D software, which generates the corresponding height map and color image using the massive parallel processing capability of a GPU. The MIL software processes and analyzes the height map and color image for detailed 2D and 3D surface inspection. Matrox Supersight Solo is the ideal HPC industrial imaging platform to host the third-party GPUs needed to run the CS-3D software.
“Our 3DPIXA camera and CS-3D software embody the innovative merger of line scan technology and ultra-fast 3D stereo algorithms that has opened up the potential for new machine vision applications demanding precise and fast 2D and 3D measurements,” said Dr.-Ing. Peter Kempf, key account manager, Chromasens GmbH. “Matrox Imaging is the only company that offers all the remaining components required to put together a complete 3D surface inspection system based on our technology.”
“Machine vision system developers will appreciate that Matrox Imaging offers all the additional hardware and software they need to harness the unique capabilities of the Chromasens 3DPIXA in their 3D surface inspection projects,” said Sam Lopez, director of sales and marketing, Matrox Imaging. “With Matrox Imaging as a one-stop shop for components and support, integrators will save time and money.”
