For companies that are active in medical engineering and the pharmaceutical industry, high process reliability with respect to the identification is very important. This applies, in particular, when labels contain up to 1,000 characters, if the label formats and colours frequently change or if different labelling methods are used. Auto-ID also needs to function reliably when labels are significantly curved (e.g. on tubular bags), highly reflective or feature print artifacts.
The system also reads and inspects fixed and variable data such as barcodes and 2D-codes, writings as well as logos and graphic symbols under difficult conditions. The labels can be inspected during the packaging or filling process (online) or after they were printed (offline).
