Microscan has expanded industrial connectivity in its latest AutoVision software release. The new version includes the Profinet industrial protocol in addition to Ethernet communication, discrete I/O and serial protocols. The AutoVision 2.1 release also features a multi-language interface to provide a simplified version for German and Chinese-speaking users.
AutoVision and Microscan Link are used together in a range of automation systems to provide communication through a simple interface and one-click connectivity. Microscan Link is used to tie data between a machine vision job and other parts of the automation system. It also provides vision engineers, programmers, and other users with a method to communicate inspection results from AutoVision software jobs to outside industrial control systems.
