Available from Alrad Imaging, CMOS Sensor has introduced two image sensors with selectable resolution for use in Contact Image Sensor (CIS) modules. CIS modules are used in a variety of imaging applications, including barcode readers, and position sensors.
The C116 is selectable between 300 and 600dpi while the C118 is selectable between 200 and 400dpi. The two CIS module families are finding applications in counterfeit detection. Equipped with UV, infrared and visible illumination, these modules are capable of scanning multiple spectra at high speed.
