From 27 to 28 May 2020, the chii 2020 (Conference on Hyperspectral Imaging in Industry) will take place in Graz, Austria. Internationally leading experts and users from all over the world will meet there for the fourth time to discuss the further developments and innovative application possibilities of hyperspectral image processing.
The use of hyperspectral image processing systems enables the solution of tasks where other technologies often fail. With this technology, optically very similar materials can be distinguished based on their chemical composition. Furthermore the concentration and distribution of ingredients for example in food or pharmaceutical products can be recorded accurately and in real time. Applications in almost all industrial sectors promise profitable options for companies that are interested in hyperspectral image processing or want to use this technology in the future.
After the very successful chii 2018 event, Hyperspectral Imaging pioneer Perception Park, Spectronet, the Styrian Business Promotion Agency and the Enterprise Europe Network are now organizing this technology conference for the fourth time: leading international experts and companies will be attending the conference in Graz on May 27 and 28, 2020 to discuss the latest developments in this innovative technology. The capabilities and the application possibilities of hyperspectral systems will be given additional relevance than at previous events. "At chii 2020, we want to show hyperspectral imaging system developers the exciting opportunities of this technology and convey ideas and experiences for their economic use," organizers say. "Important components of the conference are therefore numerous short presentations of successful applications as well as detailed presentations by leading technology providers. Those presentations will provide insight for interested visitors into the current state of the art as well as into future options for applications."
Accompanying the conference section of chii 2020, leading technology suppliers from around the world will exhibit their latest hyperspectral imaging developments and products. This second pillar of the event provides attendees with an ideal insight into existing components and solutions and offers plenty of room for exchange with experts from the respective manufacturers.
The so-called „matchmaking meetings“ have verified their value at previous chii conferences to answer individual questions or discuss details for planned system solutions. Participants of the event have the opportunity to arrange those meetings through an online platform with specific experts or other chii participants for discussions in advance. "Attendees of chii 2018 praised this option as one of the main highlights, so we will be organizing such matchmaking meetings for chii 2020 as well," the organizers emphasize.
chii is the only conference worldwide focusing on the industrial use of hyperspectral image processing. The target audience for this event are application engineers, hardware manufacturers, research institutions, plant operators, international distributors and the major manufacturers of hyperspectral sensors, optics, lighting and software. In addition numerous service providers will come to Graz to present their consulting services, development services and turnkey solutions to industrial users of this technology.
With this extensive program, chii 2020 is the perfect event to gain detailed information about all aspects of hyperspectral technology, to benefit from the experiences of others and to pave the way to successful individual implementations.
