SVS-Vistek has expanded its successful SVCam-ECO camera series with two additional models: Eco445 and Eco618. The small GigE series offers resolutions from VGA to 5 Megapixels. The cameras are available as monochrome and colour versions.
The Eco445, a cost-effective camera, has a 1.3 Megapixel CCD sensor. SVS-Vistek provides three different sensors sizes in this product segment (1/3-, 1/2- and 2/3-inch CCDs). The Eco445 camera has a resolution of 1,280 x 960 pixel and delivers up to 20fps.
The Eco618, with a resolution of 659 x 494 pixels and a frame rate of approximately 100fps, has a 1/4-inch CCD sensor. This model is IR-sensitive and is suitable for applications where daylight influences need to be avoided, as well as for working in the infrared.
SVCam-ECO cameras feature 14-bit A/D converter, providing high image quality. Due to the small weight (approximately 100g) and a compact housing (38 x 38 x 33mm), these cameras are ideal for installations where space is limited or when the camera must be moved. The cameras also have a good price/performance ratio making them suitable for applications that have been traditionally solved using analogue cameras. Additional I/Os provide maximum flexibility and the cameras are equipped with CS- and C-mounts.
An SDK is available for Windows as well as for Linux. The SVCam-ECO cameras are used in quality control, for automatic optical inspections and for production monitoring, as well as for other general machine vision applications.
