The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and the trade show VISION organize the first European conference on Embedded Vision, the Embedded VISION Europe, from 12-13 October 2017 at the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart right next to Stuttgart Airport.
“Worldwide, embedded vision is making inroads. Interest is growing amongst a multitude of industries on what can be realized with these intelligent systems. Be it automotive, automated guided vehicle systems, drones, the medical sector, automation, sports and entertainment or even marketing – embedded vision systems take care that tasks are performed automatically, stand-alone, fast and smart”, says EMVA General Secretary Thomas Lübkemeier.
Embedded VISION Europe 2017, the only conference in Europe having the focus exclusively on this disruptive technology, will show the capability of hardware and software platforms; will present applications and markets for embedded vision and will create a platform for the exchange of information. The conference will be held in English language and is organized jointly by the EMVA and Landesmesse Stuttgart which organizes and hosts the biannual international trade show VISION. Amongst the members of the program committee is also the North American Embedded Vision Alliance.
"Being the organizer of the world's leading trade fair VISION it is exciting to follow the development of industrial and non-industrial applications of embedded technologies. It is equally exiting to witness the cross-fertilization between newly developed computer vision processing platforms and industry-proven image acquisition devices, image analysis software and application solutions. This is why; together with our partner EMVA in 2017 we will launch this conference on embedded vision targeting developers and users of embedded vision systems. We are looking forward to host this event in Stuttgart next year and promote the dynamic developments with such a high level platform”, says Florian Niethammer, Project Manager VISION at Landesmesse Stuttgart.
The first Embedded VISION Europe targets developers and users of embedded (vision) systems from all industries. The conference will be supplemented by an exhibition where all participating companies are invited to show their embedded vision competence through products and applications.
