Leica Microsystems, a leader in microscopy and scientific instrumentation, has launched Enersight, an intuitive new software platform for microscope inspection and quality control. The software is designed to simplify and streamline the entire inspection and documentation workflow for a broad user group.
“Inspection often requires various types of microscopes to inspect different samples and parts,” says Andreas Hecker, Vice President and General Manager Applied Microscopy at Leica Microsystems. “With Enersight, only one piece of software is needed for various microscope types and samples, thereby reducing the time needed for training and supervision as well as improving the consistency of operation. Through this powerful software platform, we continue our mission to transform the quality and reliability of inspection through digitalization.”
The easy-to-learn Enersight software allows users of any level of microscopy expertise to intuitively acquire images during inspection. With its customizable user interface, users can hide functions not required for their inspection tasks, enabling lean and simplified operation. The easy-to-use interface of Enersight allows users to perform inspection tasks consistently without needing to use different software functions for multiple products and operation modes.
All team members can also obtain crisp images easier and faster than ever before through the software’s automatic camera setting adjustments. As a result, users can obtain a high-contrast image, despite the presence of glare, for a specified region of interest.
Currently, the Enersight software platform can either be operated with an on-screen display (OSD) or with mobile devices. It can be used to power the Emspira 3 digital microscope and Flexacam C3 microscope camera, with even more Leica products to be added in the future. The Enersight mobile app is available for download on the App Store for iOS devices and on the Google Play store for Android devices. A desktop app will also be available soon for use on PCs.
