Adding value to the inspection process, the Mikrotron EoSens GE 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera features photo-sensitivity of 2500 ISO/ASA (monochrome) combined with global shutter to enable high-speed image acquisition in very low lighting conditions without the installation of complex, expensive illumination systems. Its GigE Vision "plug and play" interface lowers the cost of connectivity by eliminating the need for a frame grabber, while achieving speeds up to 80 frames per second (fps) at full 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution, or up to 6140 fps at 60 x 60 pixels.
Once installed, the EoSens GE lets the integrator customize its performance. For instance, dynamic range can be enhanced up to 90dB for environments with extreme contrast between light and dark. Pixel exposure can be acquired a maximum of seven times, therefore letting the optimally exposed image to be chosen by the end-user for further processing. In addition, up to four individual ROIs can be selected within the same frame, making it possible to capture multiple objects, or targets within a single object, simultaneously.
The EoSens® GE measures a mere 63 x 63 x 46 mm, making it easy to integrate and deploy on the factory floor. Its rugged metal housing withstands high shock and vibration in application environments such as tire analysis, flaw detection, bottling and packaging inspections, automotive safety tests, and general machine vision applications. Other smart features of the camera include fixed pattern noise correction, and binning. It can be equipped with either a standard C-mount or F-mount lenses for further savings.
