Raptor Photonics has added another product to its line of EMCCD cameras. The Falcon Blue offers UV transmission using a MgF2 window which will pick up signals as low as 180nm.
The camera combines speed and sensitivity across a wide spectral range from 180nm up to 1,100nm. Running at 35Hz full frame, this 1 megapixel EMCCD offers ultralow readout noise of less than one electron with EM gain on. It offers a great spectral range with QE of 24 per cent at 200nm. The camera is ideal for scientific and industrial applications imaging in the UV region requiring sensitivity at lower wavelength transmissions.
