The latest addition to the Sony's FCB-EX range of camera blocks, the FCB-EX20D/P, incorporates a 1/3-type Super HAD CCD II. This, combined with a 10x optical zoom delivers high picture quality and high sensitivity in low light conditions - down to 0.25lx.
The camera's auto ICR (IR Cut Filter Removable) enables day/night functionality, and its high sensitivity enables it to function across an extensive range of applications including CCTV and traffic monitoring. This technology also makes it possible to function in difficult lighting conditions; for example moving car headlights, which can blind many alternative camera solutions.
The inclusion of Sony's spherical privacy zone masking, including a mosaic effect, ensures the FCB-EX20D/P conforms to international privacy regulations - enabling the camera to be used for wide area monitoring. Furthermore, the unit’s auto motion detection function minimises demands on power and, critically for CCTV footage storage.
