Laser Components has released the Flexpoint HOM series of line lasers, which are ideally suited to providing illumination for line scan machine vision applications. The lasers offer a distinct advantage over conventional line modules which exhibit a Gaussian output power profile. In addition, specially designed optics produce an extremely homogeneous power distribution along the line. Pre-delivery checks on the straightness of the projected line are also made.
Flexpoint HOM provides an appropriate line laser source for applications in quality control systems for automated production processes, for example. The series is available in a selection of wavelengths, output powers and fan angles.
