Laser Components has released the Flexpoint MV12 machine vision laser series. Developed for easy integration into production lines, the laser is housed in a stainless steel enclosure with an M12x1 thread and connector. The laser can operate over temperatures of -20°C to +50°C.
The MV12 series is available with wavelengths from 405nm to 850nm, including the new 520nm green diode. The lasers have optical powers up to 100mW (depending on wavelength), with fan angles ranging from 5 to 90 degrees.
Using high quality optics the MV12 can produce a crisp line with a standard uniformity of ±20 per cent, and line straightness of ±0.1 per cent. The module has a 230mm depth of focus for large scale applications, and for precise measurement of smaller products such as circuit boards and microchips, the laser module can produce a line just 5µm wide.
