LMI Technologies has launched the latest version of FlexScan3D 3.3.2 software. The company developed the 3D scanning technology to power the HDI 3D scanners that capture accurate, high-resolution 3D digital models from real-world objects. The streamlined workflow in the new software has the ability to generate digital 3D models from physical objects faster. The models can be exported for use in a variety of applications, including reverse engineering, 3D printing, visualisation, or inspection.
Major developments for FlexScan3D 3.3.2 include an automatic triggering function in Live Scanning mode and an automated mesh geometry to speeds up the scan alignment process. With the mesh geometry alignment feature, two scans can be aligned automatically even if the scans are not close in proximity or are in different orientations. Users no longer need to manually position the scans before alignment, requiring less user interaction.
FlexScan3D 3.3.2 is now available with the purchase of the HDI 3D Scanners, including the HDI Advance and the HDI 120. LMI has also launched Gocator 4.0 firmware, which supports the Gocator 3D smart sensor product line including displacement, profile, and snapshot sensors. The latest Gocator 4.0 firmware is a complete redesign of the web browser user interface experience that improves the efficiency of the inspection process.
