Flir Systems has introduced the Flir Microscopy Stand, a complete solution for thermal evaluation of very small objects.
The Flir Microscopy Stand comprises a Flir SC5000 series thermal imaging camera with a 3x or 5x microscopic lens and high precision xyz stage for accurate positioning. It is capable of accurate temperature measurement on targets as small as 3µm2. The system is able to deliver very high spatial resolution for microscopic thermal evaluation of electronic and photovoltaic components.
Equipped with a cooled Indium Antimonide (InSb) focal plane array detector, the SC5000 camera combines high spatial resolution with excellent sensitivity and accuracy. Its 320 x 256 or 640 x 512 pixels format InSb focal plane array delivers a 380Hz or 100Hz frame rate respectively.
The use of Flir’s read-out integrated circuit technology ensures low noise and high pixel rate without compromising sensitivity. A smart external triggering feature allows synchronisation of image capture to fast events. The camera uses either GigE or CamLink interfaces.
