Premier Electronics has introduced a camera module offering full high definition with DVI and TV composite outputs embedded in the module. This system is designed for use in the broadcast, security and defence markets.
The module provides HD 1,920 x 1,080/60/50/30/25 pixels and 720/60/50 pixels enabling it to be used with many platforms. The module is enhanced with true day/night capability and a newly developed wide dynamic range feature ensuring high video quality even in difficult viewing conditions. It provides 1.5/3G SDI on a BNC coax output, which also accepts power over coaxial cable, greatly reducing the installation costs. There is also a DVI output, and analogue PAL/NTSC if required.
The module utilises 2 megapixel, 12-bit imaging System on Chip technology providing high HDTV image quality at maximum video rate, low power and low random noise. The built in 18x optical zoom, f=4.7 to 84.6mm, which gives a field of view from 55° to 3.2°, makes the unit ideally suited for industrial and security applications providing flexibility and reliability of use. It offers very low light sensitivity achieving 0.2lux mono 33ms and 0.05lux mono 500ms with the IR cut filter off. Powerful control features provide, white balance, sync int/external, AE, flip/reverse images, and eight points privacy masking. It is powered from 6.5 to 12VDC, weighs around 250g and measures just 59(W) x 64.3(H) x 118.8(L).
