Jenoptik has launched its 1.0/7.5mm wide-angle lens, specially designed for the thermographic cameras of the VarioCam HD and IR-TCM HD series. Its hybrid DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface coating protects the high-quality optics when used under extreme conditions.
A large 135° x 100° field of view enables measurement and surveillance of large objects. Jenoptik’s high-resolution thermographic cameras VarioCam HD and IR-TCM HD, for which the lens was manufactured, are used for precise measurement of small thermal object details and hot spots. The cameras have an image resolution of 3.1 megapixels when using the 7.5mm wide-angle lens.
The hybrid DLC coating combines the durability of a diamond coating with an improved transmission and multispectral functionality of a dielectric coating thus offering optimum reproduction. The lenses with the innovative coating technology are manufactured by the Optical Systems division of Jenoptik.
