Lumenera Lt225 and Lt425 cameras are now equipped with the third version, rev3, of the Cmosis CMV2000 and CMV4000 megapixel sensors. This sensor upgrade provides a number of improvements, including increased analogue gain and elimination of the black sun effect, whereby super bright areas in the image show up as being dark.
The cameras are available from Framos and offer high frame rates up to 180fps; 2 and 4 megapixel with 5.5μm pixels; blur-free global shutter CMOS sensor; colour, monochrome and NIR versions; low noise and high sensitivity; embedded image processing based on an FPGA; USB 3.0 interface; and compact, robust form factor measuring 40 x 40 x 60mm with 16 mounting points.
This change also coincides with the latest release of Lucam and Lumenera’s SDK, providing additional new features such as user specified frame rate control, subsampling, thresholding, high dynamic range (HDR) mode, and an LED illumination correction, among others.
