Varioptic, a business unit of Parrot and Datalogic, has introduced the Matrix 300 barcode reader and PowerScan PBT9500 HP mobile scanner, featuring variable focus liquid lenses.
Both devices integrate a Varioptic liquid lens for variable focus. Varioptic's electro-wetting liquid lens technology enables extremely fast and noiseless variable focus with no moving parts. This ensures low power consumption, high shock resistance, and a large dynamic range that can focus from 5cm to infinity.
The Matrix 300 barcode reader features a 1.3 megapixel image sensor running at 60fps. The reader is designed for high speed performance and Direct Part Marking applications such as manufacturing, electronics and automotive.
The PowerScan PBT9500 HP is a 2D handheld area imager with Bluetooth wireless technology. It can be used for several applications such as in warehouses, logistics and manufacturing.
