Matrox Imaging has released Matrox 4Sight GPm, a cost-effective industrial imaging computer purpose-built for machine vision on the factory floor. The computer boasts a fanless design that reduces maintenance costs and downtime by eliminating the need to clean or replace an air filter, or replace a worn out fan. The system is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet and four SuperSpeed USB ports for connecting to a range of GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras. The Gigabit Ethernet ports support Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to streamline cabling.
Matrox 4Sight GPm is supplied pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7. Applications are created using standard Microsoft development tools and the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL), a comprehensive collection of tools for developing machine vision and medical imaging applications. MIL features programming functions for image capture, processing, analysis, annotation, display, and archiving.
