Matrox Imaging has made available complete native support for the USB3 Vision camera interface standard in the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL). The company has also released version 4 of the Matrox Design Assistant.
MIL users can now take advantage of USB3 Vision cameras on Windows 7 and Windows 8 imaging systems and increases the selection of camera interface standards that can be employed practically interchangeably.
The flowchart-based DA 4 vision software works not only with Matrox Iris GT smart cameras, but also any PC with GigE Vision or USB3 Vision cameras. It gives vision integrators the flexibility to scale projects to different camera resolutions, processing speeds and cost targets, all within the same configuration software.
MIL support for USB3 Vision meets AIA certification requirements and has been validated throughout its development with cameras from Basler, Baumer, Matrix Vision, Point Grey, Sentech, Toshiba Teli and Ximea.
The support is an update to MIL 10 and is now available to MIL registered users with valid maintenance subscriptions through the software’s self-update service.
