OCR developer Prime Vision has released version two of its ParcelVision system.
Version two of this modular parcel recognition platform is now web-enabled. This a customer driven development that has evolved as a result of individual ParcelVision installations being replicated at other sites within the same company. Prime Vision has harnessed this collective resource creating a highly flexible network operation.
Some organisations have an enterprise network linking sorting centres, but rarely are these links sufficiently robust to be reliable. Nor do they have the necessary bandwidth. The web on the other hand is the most robust, redundant network there is. Prime Vision has therefore web-enabled its ParcelVision system to provide 'anytime, anywhere' availability via the security of a closed business network.
