Phytec has announced it is running a workshop about the NXP i.MX8 processor family at its Mainz, Germany site on 4 February.
Participants will get information about how to plan and set up an embedded imaging system based on the NXP i.MX8 processor.
The training includes: an overview of the features of i.MX8 processors, along with how the individual processors in the family differ.
The embedded imaging aspects will cover: fields of application; embedded imaging system overview; camera modules and interfaces; i.MX8 family camera interfaces; i.MX 8 features compared for imaging applications; a quick look at lens selection for embedded imaging systems; interfaces, software and field maintenance aspects; and how to get started with development boards.
There will also be modules about software security, as well as teaching the basics of working with the Yocto board support package.
