PixeLink has launched the PL-C721 camera, providing a form factor of 32 x 48 x 10mm without the lens mount. The PL-C721C colour and PL-C721M monochrome cameras feature a 1.3 megapixel (1,280 x 1,024 pixel) resolution imager capable of 30fps at full resolution.
The camera incorporates an ON Semiconductor CMOS global shutter sensor with the option of working with either 8- or 10-bit images, and a dynamic range of 53dB (in 10-bit mode). The external hardware trigger and two general purpose outputs mean the camera can be synchronised with external hardware or lighting. The camera is available with a USB 2 interface.
The cameras are ideal for biometrics applications, parts inspection, medical applications, welding inspection, PCB inspection, and security and surveillance.
