Pixelink, a global provider of industrial cameras for the machine vision and microscopy markets, announced the launch of their PL-X series of high-performance machine vision cameras with 10 Gigabit Ethernet. With a 10GBase-T interface and Sony Pregius sensors, these cameras offer high bandwidth, high quality images making them ideal for multi-camera synchronization, automated inspection, and VR/AR applications.
First in the series is the Pixelink PL-X9512 12.3 MP model featuring the Sony Pregius IMX253 CMOS image sensor with global shutter. Covering a 1.1” sensor size, with pixel pitch of 3.45µm and frame rate of 65 fps, the PL-X9512 is availabe in color or monochrome. Its 10GBase-T interface and packet resend capability provide high quality, reliable image transfer at cable lengths of up to 100m on CAT6A.
Lisanne Glavin, General Manager at Pixelink, A Navitar Company, comments, “We are excited to roll out this new series of 10GigE cameras that can take advantage of the increased speed of the new Sony 4th generation Pregius S CMOS sensors and provide data transfer rates up to 9.6Gbps.” The new PL-X9512 is available this month; and coming in Q4, will be three additional cameras, the PL-X957 with IMX420 (7MP 1.1”), the PL-X9520 with IMX531 (20MP 1.2”), as well as the PL-X9524, a 4/3” format with the Sony IMX530 (24MP).
Additional camera features include optional Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and IEEE1588 clock synchronization (PTP).
