Viscom has introduced the S2088-II, a compact tabletop system designed for automatic optical inspection of paste print and pre- and post-reflow soldering. Compared to earlier versions, the S2088-II accommodates larger printed circuit board dimensions and board loading is faster. The AOI system can be equipped with an optional high performance 8M camera technology, making the inspection system fully compatible with Viscom in-line systems.
Circuit boards up to 508 x 457mm are compatible with orthogonal inspection; for an angled inspection, up to 356 x 457mm. The loading concept has also been improved using an efficient, open access printed circuit board intake. This allows boards to be changed rapidly between inspections.
