Basler has introduced the GigE Scout2 camera family with Power over Ethernet (PoE) and a novel colour image enhancement concept with advanced colour features.
The Scout2 series is the next generation of Basler's successful Scout series. These cameras address applications that are extremely price sensitive.
The cameras are primarily equipped with monochrome and colour Sony CCD sensors that have resolutions from VGA to 2 Megapixels and image capture rates up to 120fps. They feature a compact 29 x 44 x 85mm housing with Power over Ethernet functionality.
The Scout2 colour models include a novel colour fidelity enhancement concept with advanced colour features, which makes them an ideal fit for colour applications. These features allow easy, detailed colour adjustments to achieve very realistic colour reproduction.
The cameras can be used in a broad set of applications such as semiconductor and component inspection, manufacturing quality control, intelligent traffic systems, microscopy and medical imaging, and many others.
