StingRay Optics, developers of custom optical solutions, has introduced the all-refractive SuperBand Optic. The lens assemblies offer achromatic imaging over a wide spectral region, from visible to far-infrared wavelengths. The SuperBand Optic is an ideal solution for systems comprised of multiple sensors, stacked focal plane arrays (FPAs), or emerging dual-detector arrays via a common aperture approach.
StingRay currently offers three SuperBand lens assemblies, including 25mm, 50mm, and 100mm focal lengths. They are designed for use with cooled detectors offering an f/2.5 cold shield arrangement and are also well-suited for use with the 640 x 512, 15µm FPA formats. Other SuperBand lens configurations available include options for dual FOVs designs, varying f/# systems, large format FPAs, and alternate sensitivity ranges.
