Matrox Imaging has introduced system host boards (SHB), using the latest Intel Xeon 5600 series processors, for use with its high performance computing platform Matrox Supersight e2.
In addition, the Intel Xeon processor 5600 series includes a 12MB shared L3 cache and connects to DDR3L-SDRAM running at up to 1,333 MHz. This provides higher bandwidth and better memory performance for I/O-bound operations — a significant benefit for imaging applications.
