Edmund Optics, a provider of optical components, has introduced Techspec convex mirrors. These optical mirrors create virtual, upright images and are ideal for use in a wide variety of optical systems.
Techspec convex mirrors are manufactured to expand an imaging system's field of view without introducing chromatic aberrations. The optical mirrors feature a polished surface with a 1/2λ surface accuracy to maintain excellent image quality.
The mirrors are available in 44 models of either 25mm or 50mm diameter sizes with focal lengths of 12.5mm, 25mm, 50mm, 100mm, 150mm, and 200mm. The coating materials available are enhanced aluminium, protected aluminium, protected gold or protected silver. Shorter focal lengths produce wider fields of view, while longer focal lengths minimise distortion.
