Edmund Optics has introduced Techspec dichroic shortpass filters. These versatile filters feature a sharp cut-off wavelength and broad transmission and reflection ranges.
The filters are designed for a 45° angle of incidence. Light rejected by the filter is reflected at 90°, making the filters perfectly suited for use in fluorescence applications as well as excellent for use as spectral beamsplitters. Dichroic shortpass filters feature low polarisation dependence, offer broad spectral ranges, and are made with a precision fused silica substrate.
The filters are available in four common sizes for ease of integration into a wide variety of applications. The filters are available in 400nm to 900nm models with diameters of 12.5mm and in 400nm to 800nm models with rectangular dimensions of 12.5mm x 17.6mm.
