New Techspec imaging filters, designed and manufactured to meet demanding machine vision and imaging applications, have been introduced by Edmund Optics. These latest filters provide high quality filter performance and durability for a wide range of solutions, and may also be used to improve image contrast and isolate spectral regions and colours.
Techspec imaging filters pass or block specific UV, visible or IR wavelengths and provide extremely wide angles of incidence. They exhibit high and flat transmission profiles to provide even illumination, are optimised for use with popular LEDs, and feature an optical density of less than 3.0. When compared to traditional filters, these RoHS-compliant and hard-coated filters, manufactured using an ion-beam sputtering technique, provide impressive blocking of unwanted light with excellent durability for longer lifetimes.
Techspec imaging filters are available in 30 models, offering multiple mounting sizes and threads to ease system compatibility. The filters are available with centre wavelengths of 470nm, 524nm, 548nm, 634nm, 660nm and 880nm with transmissions up to 97 per cent in light red, dark red, green, blue, UV/VIS cut-off and UV/IR cut-off models.
