Aicon has launched software version 4.7 for its optical tube measuring system TubeInspect. With the new version of the software the operator can simulate the bending process, taking into consideration individual correction values and verify their effect on accuracy through a virtual gauge check function.
Using high resolution digital cameras, TubeInspect determines tube geometry within seconds with an accuracy to gauge the part. Beyond that, the system shows which bending points deviate from the desired values and suggests correction values. These correction values can be transmitted directly to the bending machine.
TubeInspect simulates the results of proposed changes and shows with a virtual gauge check if this bending process could produce a good part. A separate real bending test will take place after the simulation.
