IDS Imaging Development System GmbH announced today that it will be among the first machine vision camera manufacturers to fully unleash the performance of the new ground-breaking Sony IMX174, 2.3 megapixel CMOS sensor.
This new USB 3.0 camera - model UI-3060CP --will be on display for the first time at VISION 2014 in Stuttgart, Germany, November 4-6. Equipped with one of the industry's most widely-acclaimed image sensors, this new IDS camera model delivers outstanding imaging performance previously unattainable by CMOS-based cameras in terms of high sensitivity, high dynamic range, low fixed pattern noise, and highly accurate color reproduction.
Paired with ultra-fast image transmission rates achieving up to 170 fps, the UI-3060CP camera is especially well-suited for high frame rate imaging under extreme low-light conditions, as well as in applications where images of rapidly moving objects must be captured with sharp edge detail and exceptionally high image quality. Available in both monochrome or color versions, and housed in a highly robust, compact, 29 x 29 mm magnesium enclosure, the UI-3060CPis the ideal camera solution for a broad range of applications in both industrial and non-industrial environments.
Whether operating under Windows or Linux, to help simplify software integration with the UI-3060CP camera, the IDS Software Suite V4.6 (SDK) fully leverages the advanced features of the Sony IMX174 sensor, including hot pixel correction, adjustable pixel rate for multi-camera configurations, high dynamic range (HDR) mode, multi-AOI, long exposure, line scan mode, and many more innovative features.
IDS Imaging Development System will also unveil its highest resolution USB 3.0 model to date at Vision in Stuttgart -- the UI-3013XC 13MP industrial camera, featuring autofocus and full color 1920 x 1080 HD resolution streaming video at up to 30 frames/second. This new model will be on display for the very first time at VISION 2014 in Stuttgart, Germany, November 4-6.
Offering numerous advanced features - including autofocus, face/object detection and backlight compensation - the new UI-3013XC brings the convenience of commercial digital cameras to professional machine vision and scientific applications. This versatility makes the camera the ideal solution for commercial applications in demanding lighting situations such as building access monitoring, kiosk systems, surveillance, or logistics applications. Additionally, its robust magnesium housing and secure screw-captive USB connectors qualify it well for use in industrial environments.
