IDS has launched its UI-524xLE-MB GigE board-level camera series with remote interface. The camera is ideal for integration into very small or angled spaces.
The board with the camera, lens and RJ45 interface are connected by a flex ribbon cable, enabling them to be installed independently. The board-level cameras are equipped with a 1/1.8-inch, 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor from e2v, that is available as colour, monochrome or NIR, and delivers a maximum frame rate of 50fps. It is also available with S-mount, CS-mount, or without a lens holder.
In addition to internal 60MB image memory for decoupling between image capturing and image transfer, the cameras are equipped with connectors for trigger and flash as well as with two GPIO that open up a wide range of applications in industrial and non-industrial environments. By using the I2C bus, external devices can also be controlled.
Furthermore, the Gigabit Ethernet interface allows cable lengths up to 100 metres. Due to the high bandwidth, the GigE cameras are also suitable for multi-camera operation.
